Joys of Apple Cider

Apple Cider Business

CiderIf you are creative and tenacious enough to be a successful entrepreneur, starting a cider business is something that you just simply need to think about. So, if you are thinking about opening a cider business, but you are not sure about what you need to do, you are at the right place. The following is what you need to know to get started.

Selling Cider

When it comes to cider, it is a very popular beverage, and as such, it is a great entrepreneurial opportunity for anyone who wants to get into the beverage industry. In order to start, you need to have access to a cider mill. Cider mill is the kind of equipment that crushes your fruit to create the fruit juice that you will need in order to make cider.

The most common type of cider is an apple cider, but there are other types of cider as well (peach cider for example). There is one very important decision that you will need to make – you will have to decide whether your cider will be an alcoholic beverage or a non-alcoholic one. One thing is for sure though, and that is that you will need to have access to a cider mill or some other fruit pressing machinery.

There are two options that you can choose from – you can either partner with an existing cider mill or buy your own. The best solution is to buy used fruit pressing equipment, and the reason why is because buying new, unused fruit pressing equipment could cost you a lot of money.

Cider Business As a Core Business Versus a Side Business

If you already own some kind of an apple business, cider business can be a great side business. But if you don’t, you can create a great cider empire, with distribution through bars and restaurants or shelf space in grocery stores across the country. The first thing that you need to do is think about how big you would like your cider business to be, what will be its initial location, and what you need to do to get started and grow.

Cider Business is Great Along With Other Local Businesses.

The Apple Business is where my heart is and I have a few kids who have followed in my foot steps. While one kid is leading a National Cider Company, I have another who makes small batch cider and both love their jobs and are very successful.

While apples are great, not all fall close to the tree and that’s okay!  One of my kids is associated with a great local lawn care company www.safarilawncareboise.com. They do great and is another example of a local business that still allows you to work with nature. So rather its apple sauce, apple cider or some other business, follow your passion.
